The Futureheads have announced they have completed their new album.

The disc has been produced by Smashing Pumpkins' producer Youth in Spain.

The band are also set to play two intimate shows to celebrate the completion of the album.

The first 200 fans through the door to each of the shows will get a white label seven-inch single of two new tracks, remixed by a mystery person described as a “top dawg”.

In a statement, guitarist Ross Millard explained: “Now that we’re out of all major label clutches, we can call the shots on what we do, and when and where we do it, a lot more - so keep your ears to the ground and I’ll give you a shout back when we’ve got other important news to break."

Meanwhile, the band will play:

London King’s College (November 29)
Sunderland Independent (December 6)

Tickets are available for mailing list subscribers from 9am on November 7. You must be signed up to the mailing list before 3pm on Tuesday (November 6) in order to receive your access pin code and ticket link.

Tickets will go on general sale from 9am on November 8.
