The Game trial date set

Rapper faces felony weapons charges

The Game trial date set

A trial date has been set in the weapons case against The Game.

The Compton rapper has been ordered to stand trial in Los Angeles County Superior Court on February 4.

The charges are a result of a fight the rapper was involved in during a basketball game on February 24 in South Los Angeles.

The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor, allegedly pulled a gun from his Cadillac Escalade after punching a player on the opposing team and threatening to shoot him.

The Game has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The judge also set a hearing for January 22, where he will decide if the LAPD is in contempt of court for allegedly confiscating $44,000 during the course of the investigation, reports All Hip Hop.com.

Meanwhile, The Game is in the studio recording his latest album, reportedly titled 'LAX'.
