The Game has been released from jail after serving only eight days of a 60-day sentence.
Los Angeles County sheriff's records show that the rapper was released yesterday (March 9) just before midnight, reports the Associated Press.
The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor, was convicted last month of possessing a firearm in a school zone, as previously reported.
The charges against the Compton rapper stem from a fight he was involved in during a basketball game on February 24, 2007 in South Los Angeles in which he allegedly pulled a gun from his Cadillac Escalade after punching a player on the opposing team and threatening to shoot him.
No comment has yet been made about the rapper's early release.
