Gaslight Anthem side-project Horrible Crowes to record album next month

The Horrible Crowes, the new side-project from The Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon, are set to record their debut album next month.

Writing on the band's official blog, Thehorriblecrowes.blogspot.com, Fallon explained that he has 15 songs written and that Dropkick Murphys producer Ted Hutt would be at the controls.

"We now have what we call a record," he wrote. "There's 15 songs written, of which 11 or 12 will be on the record. As of right now we have no title for the album, but we know Mr Ted Hutt will be producing."

He added that recording will start on May 2. The band is a team-up between him and musician Ian Perkins.

The singer had previously said that the duo have been inspired by the likes of Tom Waits and Nick Cave for their new project.

Fallon will return to the UK in June to play Download Festival with The Gaslight Anthem.
