The Go! Team play intimate iTunes Festival show

The Go! Team showcased most of their forthcoming second album, ‘Proof Of Youth’, in front of an audience around 200 people at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London last night (July 6).

The gig was part of the iTunes Festival which is staging an intimate show at the venue every night in July.

Rapper Ninja was in typically energetic form, wearing a short pink dress and high socks, performing aerobics-style dancing throughout the set and encouraging the crowd to sing along.

As well as playing favourites from their fist album, such as ‘Panther Dash’ and ‘Bottle Rocket’, the band treated the crowd to a preview of their new album ‘Proof Of Youth’, due out in September.

The new songs, including as ‘The Wrath Of Marcie’ and forthcoming single ‘Grip Like A Vice’ show a continuation of the band’s trademark TV theme-driven sample-mash and saw Ninja rapping energetically throughout the show.

Before playing new track ‘Doing It Right’ she told the crowd that the track would be the second single to be taken from the album.

Closing with ‘Ladyflash’, Ninja also entertained the audience declaring: “Dance moves from around the world!”, before delighting whemt with medley of dancing styles.

She ran through Russian-style Cossack dancing, martial arts hand chops, breakdancing and even a highland fling before leaving the stage with the band.

The iTunes Festivals continues with performances from the likes of Kasabian and Editors set to play before intimate crowds, stay tuned to NME.COM for full reports.
