White Stripes favourites to play club date

The Greenhornes will headline their own show in London later this month

White Stripes favourites to play club date

Jack and Meg White's current favourite new band The Greenhornes are playing a one off date at London's Dirty Water Club later this month.

The Cincinnati band, who are currently touring the UK with the White Stripes, will perform their own headline show on November 18 to coincide with the release of their Brendan Benson produced EP Pattern Skies.

An as-yet-untitled debut album featuring liner notes by Jack White[/a}, is due to follow on January 16 in 2006.

The Greenhornes also make up three fifths of White and Brendan Benson's forthcoming side project - The Ranconteurs.

The band were a favourite of [a]John Peel's, featuring in his box of 100 favourite singles, with the track 'Shadow Of Grief'.
