The garage rock Swedes announce release date too

The Hives have revealed that the title of their forthcoming new album will be 'The Black And White Album'.

The album will be released in the UK on October 8, and preceded by a single, 'Tick Tick Boom', released on September 24.

The band had previously talked about the frustrations they encountered while making the album, which was recorded in over seven different studios.

Front-man Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist had described the making of the album to NME.COM as similar to that of Guns N Roses’ famously long-delayed project, 'Chinese Democracy'.

The band have launched a new website to coincide with the build-up to the release of the album.
