The Hives and Cyndi Lauper record Christmas song
They'll collaborate on 'A Christmas Duel'
The Hives and Cyndi Lauper have collaborated on a Christmas song.
The Swedish garage band and the 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun' singer will release 'A Christmas Duel' as a free download on November 28.
However, it will also be available to buy in the UK from December 1.
In a statement via Pitchfork, The Hives said: "It may sound weird and come as a surprise to some, but we had to. It came to us. It landed in our lap and was way too good to shake or toss. We knew we had to record it. A sign if you will."
Lauper stated: "This goes to show even rat sideswipers can have a good Xmas too."
