The line-up has been unveiled for the Celebrate Brooklyn series of free events taking place over the summer.
The Hold Steady, KRS One and New Orleans funk band The Neville Brothers will all take part in the shows, kicking off June 14.
Montreal trio of bands The Stills, Sam Roberts Band and Malajube are among the other acts to take part which will also feature evenings of music from the Brooklyn Philharmonic, the Alloy Orchestra and various jazz, blues and Latin acts.
KRS One’s performance is presented as a Lyricist Lounge show and will include sets from Ladybug Mecca and Turntable Anihilists.
Support for The Hold Steady comes from fellow Brooklyn bands The Big Sleep and The Teenage Prayers.
Celebrate Brooklyn is in its 29th year, and will happen at the Prospect Park Bandshell. The events are all free, but attendees are encouraged to donate $3 at the gate to ensure the continued success of the festival.
