The Hold Steady, The Virgins for Tribeca Film Festival

The Hold Steady, The Virgins and Republic Tigers have been announced to play this year's Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.

The bands will perform a show at Webster Hall on May 2, as part of 'Breaking The Band sponsored by Target', curated by former music supervisor of 'The OC', Alexandra Patsavas.

Meanwhile, Regina Spektor, Sia, Joseph Arthur, Sondre Lerche, Jessie Baylin and Augustana are also on the bill for the 2008 Tribeca/ASCAP Music Lounge from April 29 to May 2 at the Canal Room in downtown New York City.

This year's film festival will include screenings of '90 Miles The Documentary', featuring Gloria Estefan, and Lou Reed's 'Berlin'.

The Tribeca/ASCAP Music Lounge will be open to all festival badge holders and features four to five artists daily.

Doors open at 2.30pm daily with performances beginning at 3.00pm.
