PLACEBO's new album title has finally been revealed, and it will be called 'BLACK MARKET MUSIC' according to frontman BRIAN MOLKO.
The revelation came on Jo Whiley's's Radio One show this afternoon (July 18).
Molko said: "We've been umming and aahing over a few titles we narrowed it down out of about three, and it is 'Black Market Music'. It kind of rolls off the tongue. It kind of hints at something slightly under-the-counter, that you could buy in Soho, that you're not allowed to have."
He went on to describe the new album's sound as combining the "punky youthful energy" of the band's self-titled debut with the "slow melancholy" of the follow-up, 'Without You I'm Nothing', while also allowing the band to experiment on tracks such as current single 'Taste In Men'.
