The Hold Steady have unveiled 'I Hope This Whole Thing Didn't Frighten You', the first song to be taken from their latest album, 'Teeth Dreams'.

The US rock band will put out the follow-up to 'Heaven Is Whenever' on March 25. The album features the songs 'On With the Business' and 'The Ambassador', alongside first single 'I Hope This Whole Thing Didn't Frighten You', which you can listen to via Rolling Stone.

Speaking about the LP with Rolling Stone, frontman Craig Finn commented: "We were looking to make a big rock record. Maybe it's less wild but in some ways that makes it a bigger record." The band released their last LP in 2010. Of the gap between albums, Finn says the band "may have dragged out a bit this time. But I think it's all for the best."

Tad Kubler of the band previously said of the album: "We're really proud of our new record, this is an exciting time for us. Making the new record has been a journey for the band, and the results exceeded even our own expectations. Can't wait for people to hear it." The band, who will celebrate their 10th anniversary this year, will tour the US starting later this month, kicking off the run of gigs in Memphis on January 29.
