The Holloways working on new album

As the 'Generator' band gear up for festival

The Holloways have revealed that they are working on their second album.

The London band’s debut 'So, This Is Great Britain?' was released last year.

Speaking exclusively to NME.COM, bassist and vocalist Bryn Fowler said: "We have been working on new stuff for the next album."

Fowler said that they may debut the new songs during their appearance at Ben & Jerry’s Sundae On The Common on Sunday (July 29). The two-dayer takes place on London’s Clapham Common.

“It depends how the day pans out,” he said. “We never choose our set list until about half-an-hour before we step out onto the stage. We just hope the weather is good!”

Fowler said the band were looking forward to returning home to play the festival.

He admitted: “It'll be a really good experience and it will be the first opportunity for all our old fans and friends to see us play a festival in the heart of the Big Smoke.”

The bassist also commented on the lasting success of their single 'Generator', which was been re-released in June and was a huge chart success.

He said: “We knew how good a song it was and had faith all along. It has lasted a very long time and still seems to be going. But that’s the mark of a good song.”
