Last week's NME cover stars The Horrors have signed with a US label in a bid for stateside success.

The Southend quintet plan to release an EP with American label Stolen Transmission this autumn before they play US dates in October.

Stolen Transmission is home to The Oohlas and Brightlight Fever.

The tracklisting for 'The Horrors EP' is:

'Death At The Chapel'
'Crawdaddy Simone'
'Sheena Is A Parasite'
'Jack The Ripper'
'Excellent Choice'

As previously reported by NME.COM, The Horrors frontman Faris Badwan was attacked on the weekend (August 12) after a stranger took exception to his distinctive look.

For the full story see this week's NME, on newsstands nationwide from tomorrow (August 16).
