The Horrors have been banned from exploding any more fireworks while on the road.

The band decided to liven up their Shockwaves NME Awards Indie Rock Tour set with a few explosions after missing a couple of dates through illness - however, not everyone has approved.

Writing the latest instalment of his blog for NME.COM, frontman Faris Rotter explained after an experiment there would be no more bangs in their set.

“Some rockets were set off inside the venue, some were emptied of their gunpowder for use in an onstage pyrotechnic display,” he explains. “Needless to say, the tour management company informed The Horrors collective that any further use of fireworks would lead to ejection from the tour. They offered us three balls of wool in exchange for our solemn word, which we accepted. The Horrors aren't bought cheap.”
