Horrors, Brakes, Vetiver for End Of The Road

Acts added to Dorset bash line-up

The Horrors, Brakes and Vetiver have been added to the line-up of the End Of The Road festival.

Blitzen Trapper, The Duke and The King, Shearwater, Wye Oak and Loney, Dear have also been added to the line-up.

The bash is set to take place in Dorset on September 11-13 and will feature Explosions In The Sky, Fleet Foxes and Neko Case.

As we took stock of 2006 and started planning the 2007 awards tour, we realised that we were probably in the midst of one of the most exciting times in music this millennium, and had too freaking many bands we wanted to send round the country. Rock and Rave were tussling for dominance so we thought, "Fuck it - let's do TWO tours." Mumm-Ra and their mascot Matthew The Duck took the legendary play-this-and-you'll-be-massive opening slot. They became the exception to the rule, but shook up the early arrivals in time for The Horrors (pictured) and their seaside goth punk with added aggro. The View brought so many choruses they only had room for one pair of jeans for the tour between them, and The Automatic were an awesome prospect to finish the crowd off, even back in the days when they were lumbered with Pennie.
