The Horrors have been forced to cancel their appearance at T In The Park today (July 11) because of illness.

The band were due to play the NME / Radio 1 Stage at 1:10pm (BST).

However, a spokesperson for The Horrors confirmed to NME.COM that they will not be playing the slot, or turning up to the Kinross site, because frontman Faris Badwan has a sore throat.

The spokesperson told NME.COM that Badwan's voice gave in towards the end of yesterday's Horrors gig at Lounge On The Farm, and that the singer has since returned to London. He added that a doctor is set to assess the frontman's condition later today.

The band are currently deciding whether to play tomorrow's slot at Oxygen festival.

"We hope to find some way to carry on with the weekend's plans," the spokesperson said. "Of course, if the doctor advises against playing, we may have to pull tomorrow's show as well."
