The Horrors' Faris Badwan has teamed up with former Ipso Facto member Cherish Kaye to record a cover of Black Lips' 'I'll Be With You'.

The track is set to appear as the B-side to Black Lips' new single, 'Drugs', released on August 24.

Badwan is releasing the track under the name Lumina, and in an interview inside this weeks NME magazine - on UK newsstands now - The Horrors' frontman explained how the project came about.

"Lumina started as something I was messing around with at home - I'd been getting really fixated on making electronic recordings that sounded human and warm, all the sounds were made with synths," Badwan told NME.COM.

The singer added that he hopes to release a series of stand-alone singles under the name.

Badwan also revealed that Black Lips frontman Cole Alexander had told him that the track was originally written for the band's friend (and sometime Gaye Blades member) Bobby Ubangi, who was suffering from lung cancer and has since passed away.

"Bizarrely he died the day after we finished recording," Badwan said. "I don't know if he heard the Lumina version or not."
