The Horrors' singer Faris Badwan is set to showcase his artwork in a London exhibition next month.

The frontman's exhibition, Drawing A Straight Number Nine, will run at the city's Book Club venue on Leonard Street from August 11 to 29.

It will feature 100 new pieces – featuring drawings, projections and other artwork made by the former St Martins College student. August 11 will see a private viewing of the exhibition after which it will be open to the public.

Badwan said: "What I wanted to get across with this exhibition was how much of a part of my life drawing always has been. It invades all of my daily routine, be it in the shredded form of masking tape stuck to my walls, line-drawings on restaurant napkins or the sketchbooks I carry with me. It really is the one constant, solid thing in my life – a stream which runs regardless of what I happen to be doing or where."
