The Reid brother's return at Jarvis Cocker’s Meltdown festival
The Jesus And Mary Chain continued their comeback with a show at Jarvis Cocker’s Meltdown festival last night (June 22).
The band who performed in front of an audience that included Primal Scream’s - and former The Jesus And Mary Chain drummer - Bobby Gillespie, ’s Kevin Shields, and of course Cocker, played their first UK show in nine years at the Royal Festival Hall.
Acknowledging their history their set included a cover of Syd Barrett's 'Vegetable Man', which appeared on the B-side of their very first single back in 1984.
