Bands to commemorate former Earl Brutus star

The Jesus And Mary Chain and British Sea Power are to play a tribute gig to Nick Sanderson, who died earlier this year.

The gig, which takes place at London's The Forum on October 27, also features Black Box Recorder and DJ sets from Sanderson's Earl Brutus bandmates Jim Fry and Gordon King.

Before forming (and fronting) Earl Brutus in the early 1990s, Sanderson drummed for The Jesus And Mary Chain and World Of Twist.

He died of lung cancer on June 8, 2008, aged 47.
