The new albums from The Killers, Kanye West and Ludacris are set to be released a day early in the US so that Island Def Jam can notch up higher sales.
The Killers' 'Day & Age', Ludacris' 'Theater Of The Mind' and Kanye West's '808s & Heartbreak' will all come out on Monday November 24, a day before the traditional release day of Tuesday.
Accoring to Billboard, Island Def Jam's early release plan is an attempt to capitalise on the Thanksgiving shopping weekend. A major holiday in the US, Thanksgiving signifies the kick-off of the holiday season, and in turn holiday spending.
As previously reported, The Killers played a surprise gig in London over the weekend, when they opened for Glasvegas at the Union Chapel.
