The Killers had their stage invaded by US chatshow host Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday (September 16), in a parody of Kanye West's storming of the stage at the MTV VMA awards last Sunday.
In a fan recorded video of the invasion which you can watch by scrolling down now, Kimmel is seen running onstage at the band's Hollywood Bowl gig and grabbing the microphone from The Killers' frontman Brandon Flowers, before paying homage to that night's support act the Psychedelic Furs.
"I'm really happy for you and I'm going to let you finish," Kimmel exclaims. "But I want to say Beyonce made one of the best videos of all time…and the Psychedelic Furs had one of the best songs of all time!"
Kimmel is then seen handing the microphone back to Flowers, as the Psychedelic Furs gatecrash the stage and play a joint version of their 1986 hit 'Pretty In Pink' with The Killers.
The cover is not the first time The Killers have been joined onstage by their support band on their North American tour. Earlier this month, Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale and Ian Peres ran through a version of The Animals' classic track 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood' during a gig in Toronto.
West's stage invasion at the MTV VMAs has drawn widespread criticism, with US President Obama labelling him a "jackass".
