The Killers to release 2010 Christmas single despite hiatus

Band set to keep up annual festival tradition

The Killers have confirmed that they will release a Christmas single this year - despite being on hiatus.

According to a post on their official website, Thekillersmusic.com, the band will be keeping up the yearly tradition they started in 2006 by releasing new song 'Boots' in the USA on November 30.

There are no details yet regarding a European release.

The band's Christmas singles have all been released in support of World AIDS Day, which this year again takes place on December 1.

The Killers are currently taking a break from general band commitments, with frontman Brandon Flowers releasing a solo album, 'Flamingo', earlier this year.
