The Killers unveil artwork for new single 'Runaways' The Killers Tickets
The track is to be taken from the band's forthcoming new album 'Battle Born'
The track is the first to be taken from the band's forthcoming fourth album 'Battle Born', which is scheduled for release this autumn. The song will get its first radio play on July 10.
Earlier this month (June 7) The Killers revealed the trailer for their new album 'Battle Born' – scroll down to watch it.
Last month, singer Brandon Flowers explained the title of the album, which is also the name of the band's studio and a nickname for their home state of Nevada, commenting: "In a sense, all Americans are battle born. Our ancestors came here for something better." Drummer Ronnie Vanucci added: "It's living up to its title. This is our difficult fourth record."
Song titles already confirmed for the record include 'Heart Of A Girl', 'Flesh And Bone', 'Carry Me Home' as well as 'Runaways' and producers credited with working on the LP include Madonna collaborator Stuart Price, Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor and Brendan O'Brien.
Flowers has also said the band have taken a "risk" leaving a near five-year gap between their last album 'Day & Age' and their new one. He told Q: "It's still eclectic, I've not thrown the keyboards away. But it's definitely heavier."
The Killers will make their UK live return at V Festival in August.
