The Killers are set to join forces with cult director Werner Herzog for a live webcast next month.

The band's show at New York's Paradise Theater in the Bronx, will be streamed live at 7pm (ET) on September 18 as part of the American Express Unstaged series.

The Killers have revealed that the Grizzly Man director has planned to strap cameras to drummer Ronnie Vannucci as well as to crowd surfing audience members as part of the production.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, bassist Mark Stoermer said:

He has ideas for someone crowd-surfing with a camera on. He's gonna put cameras on Ronnie while he's playing drums.

He added: "I think there's gonna be an animal involved. I'm sure it will be all done the right way." The gig will stream at YouTube.com/Thekillersvevo.

The concert comes a day after the UK release of the band's new album, 'Battle Born', on September 17.

The Killers recently joined the line-up for this year's iTunes Festival. The band have signed up to play the Camden Roundhouse on September 11 as part of the month long event. Tickets for each gig are all given away from the event's official website. See itunesfestival.com for full details on how to get them.

The show follows another free gig from the four-piece at London's HMV Forum on September 10.
