The Killers played a relatively small, free show earlier this evening (September 10) at London's Kentish Town Forum.

The hour-long gig was broadcast live on BBC Radio 1 and saw the band playing four songs from their forthcoming new album, 'Battle Born', as well as host of classic tracks from throughout their career.

Opening their set with current single 'Runaways', frontman Brandon Flowers was dressed all in black and sporting a leather jacket, which he took off at the end of the first song.

After a rousing rendition of 'Mr Brightside', the frontman of the Las Vegas based band told the hyped-up crowd: "You're helping us remember why we do this. You guys are too good to us."

The show also saw the live debut of 'Battle Born' track 'Here With Me'. "Whaddya think?" asked Flowers after the song, to cheers from the audience. The band also played new songs 'Flesh and Bone' and 'Miss Atomic Bomb'. 'Battle Born' is released next Monday (September 17).

Against a lavish light-up stage set, Flowers strapped on a guitar for 'For Reasons Unknown'. Later in the gig there was a multi-coloured laser show and confetti canons exploded during 'All These Things That I've Done'.

The Killers play London's Roundhouse tomorrow (September 11) as part of the iTunes Festival and they start a 13-date arena tour at Glasgow's SECC on October 26, which runs until November 17 when the band play the second of two shows at London's O2 Arena.
