The Killers cancelled their gig in Manchester last night (November 13) after performing just four songs – watch fan-filmed footage of it below.

Fans were left disappointed at the sold-out gig at the city's Manchester Arena when lead singer Brandon Flowers told the crowd that his voice had "gone", before walking offstage.

"I'm sorry I've never had to do this before but we've gotta stop. I can't sing… I don't know what else to tell you. I'm sorry. I know it's frustrating for you and I'm sorry. I promise that we will come back," Flowers told the crowd.

A band spokesperson then came on to tell gig-goers the show was over, Manchester Evening News reports.

Tonight's show (November 14) has also been cancelled. A statement on the band's Facebook page reads: "Manchester, we started something we couldn't finish and we're so, so sorry. Working on rescheduling tonight and tomorrow's shows. Will let you know new dates ASAP."

A follow-up post on their Twitter read: "Both Manchester shows (scheduled for the 13th & 14th) have been cancelled. We will have info about the rescheduled dates very soon. ?#hangtight"

A spokesperson for the band confirmed to NME that the band's scheduled London shows at the O2 Arena this Friday (November 16) and Saturday (November 17) will go ahead as planned.

Manchester Arena spokesperson Matt ward told the Manchester Evening News: "The two Manchester Arena shows by The Killers on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 November have been postponed. Lead singer Brandon Flowers had to take a break early into Tuesday evening’s performance after complaining of a sore throat. Unfortunately, he was unable to continue with the rest of the show."

He added: "Wednesday night’s Manchester show has also been postponed. The band intend to reschedule both Manchester concerts for next year. Confirmation of the new dates is expected within 48 hours."

Ticketholders are advised to keep hold of their tickets and to contact their point of purchase for further information.
