The Killers will headline the Saturday night slot at the Isle of Wight Festival.

The band will play the festival’s main stage on Saturday, June 15. They join previously announced headliners The Stone Roses and Bon Jovi at the top of the bill.

The festival’s promoter John Giddings said in a statement: "We are proud to bring one of the world’s greatest rock bands of the last decade to our small island off the South Coast of England…thanks for coming-it will be a weekend to remember!"

Other acts announced for the bash, which will take place at Seaclose Park between June 13 and 16 include The Maccabees, Jake Bugg, Bloc Party, Paloma Faith, Ellie Goulding, and Blondie.
