The Killers' drummer Ronnie Vanucci has revealed that the band are already recording their fifth album, despite only releasing their last album 'Battle Born' at the end of 2012.

Vanucci says he is keen to rest on the band's laurels and says that performing the same songs all the time is like "eating the same dinner each night", adding that he's constantly writing with the band while they are on the road.

"I hope there's a new album soon. We've been working on stuff," the drummer said in an interview with the Daily Star. "We were in the studio just the week before last. I want to put out a new record now but it's about getting us all on the same page. I bring a guitar with me everywhere. Playing the same songs over and over again is like having the same dinner every night. So you want to start getting in the kitchen and experimenting a bit."

The Killers picked up the prize for Best International Band at this week's NME Awards with frontman Brandon Flowers thanking fans for voting and adding: "It's not easy to find a copy of NME in Las Vegas, we had to really seek it out so this means a lot."
