The Killers, Mumford & Sons, The Cure to headline Lollapalooza festival

Nine Inch Nails, Phoenix, The Postal Service will also play the Chicago festival in August

The Killers, Mumford & Sons and The Cure are set to headline this summer's Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.

Taking place August 2-4 in Grant Park, the ninth annual Stateside festival will also see performances from Nine Inch Nails, Phoenix, The Postal Service, Vampire Weekend, New Order, Queens of the Stone Age, Haim and The National.

In addition, the festival will see sets from Beach House, Cat Power, Alt-J, The Vaccines, Foals, Kendrick Lamar, Ellie Goulding, Death Grips, Jessie Ware, Grizzly Bear, Lana Del Rey, Band of Horses, Hot Chip, Azealia Banks, Angel Haze, Local Natives, Father John Misty, Crystal Castles, Jake Bugg, Ben Howard, Frightened Rabbit, Smith Westerns, Lianne La Havas and Two Door Cinema Club.

Over the weekend Queens Of The Stone Age debuted new song 'My God Is The Sun' at Lollapalooza Brazil, the festival's South American wing.

The track marks the first taste of new music from the Josh Homme-fronted group and is taken from the band's forthcoming new album '…Like Clockwork'.

The gig in Sao Paulo was the rock band's first live performance since a string of dates in 2011 to support the re-release of their 1998 self-titled debut album.

Last year's Lollapalooza in Chicago saw sets from Black Sabbath, Jack White, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, At The Drive-In, Bloc Party and Franz Ferdinand.
