...Or was Turner just joking abut the collaboration?

Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner has revealed that he has been working on a song with The Kills' Alison Mosshart.

Speaking to XFM, Turner said that the song was named 'The Fire And The Thud'. He said that the song was written and recorded by Turner before Mosshart added her vocals separately.

Mosshart revealed that she hadn't heard the finished song herself, but Turner himself claimed, "It's good - it's really good'.

However, it was unclear whether the pair were being entirely serious, or exaggerating details of a possible hook-up.

The duo did, however, go on to consider the chances of further collaboration, commenting that there may be the chance of more tracks being recorded together in the future.
