The Kinks' Ray Davies announces extensive UK tour – ticket details

Singer-songwriter will play 14 shows on autumn trek

Ray Davies, former frontman with The Kinks, has announced an extensive UK tour for later this year.

The singer, who released his most recent studio album 'See My Friends' in November 2010, will play 14 shows on the run, including London's Royal Albert Hall.

The gigs begin at Canterbury's Marlowe Theatre on September 30 and run until October 18, when Davies, who will be joined by Ian Gibbons for the tour, headlines Bath Forum.

To coincide with the tour, a new collection of Kinks tracks is to be released. The compilation, which is titled 'The Kinks At The BBC', will come out on August 13. It is a CD and DVD package which has been designed in the style of a Radio Times.
