The Kooks are to play a free gig in London tonight.

The band will appear at The Cow pub near Royal Oak at 9pm, according to a post on their Twitter feed.



The Kooks recently unveiled a new direction with their new single 'Down', which sees them working with hip-hop producer and performer Inflo.

The band will play four shows in May, with appearances in London, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham. Starting at Glasgow's ABC on May 6, the band will then play shows at Manchester Ritz and London's Electric Ballroom on May 8 and 9 before ending the short tour on May 9 at Birmingham Institute.
