Evan Dando's band is back

Evan Dando’s legendary band The Lemonheads have signed a new record deal – ten years after the release of their last studio album.

The group have inked a deal with Vagrant Records, reports Billboard. The Lemonheads’ first album since 1996’s ‘Car, Button, Cloth’ will come out on the label later this year.

The band now features Dando, drummer Bill Stevenson and bassist Karl Alvarez.

In the ten years since the last record, Dando has released one solo LP, 2003’s acclaimed ‘Baby I’m Bored’.

Last year The Lemonheads’ new line-up played a bunch of shows, including the Benicassim Festival and two nights at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire, performing their 1992 classic ‘It’s A Shame About Ray’ in full as part of the ‘Don’t Look Back’ season of gigs.
