The hardest working band in rock delight fans yet again - this time in a north London pub...

Libertines performed the latest in their series of guerrilla gigs in a north LONDON pub last night (February 18).

Fresh from being crowned Best British Band at the NME Awards last Thursday (February 12), around 200 people witnessed the entire band playing an hour-long set at the Duke Of Clarence pub in Islington.

Libertines recently played gigs in Liverpool Middlesborough, and Newcastle. Their manager Alan McGee said: "Give us a venue and we’ll give you a show. That’s why we’re doing this, to remind people what rock 'n' roll is about."

Terry Hall of early ‘80s legends Specials and Fun Boy Three looked on, as did Tom Hodgkinson, editor of seminal loafer publication The Idler.

The band say they are looking forward to returning to the studio to work on their second album, the follow up to 2002's 'Up The Bracket'.
