Photo Gallery: The Libertines
The man who was painting live when The Libertines reformed has compared the event to poetry.
Speaking to NME.COM, Armando, who painted events as they happened on stage during the two nights of the Evening With Pete Doherty shows at London's Hackney Empire last week, talked about the experience.
He said: “The gig was amazing. There were so many things happening. Although I wasn’t playing instruments, it felt like I was jamming with them.”
Speaking about the second night (April 12) when the Carl Barat reunited with Pete Doherty onstage, Armando said: “The event was amazing what with The Libertines coming together and Pete and Kate getting engaged afterwards. It was kind of like poetry. In an emotional way it was very beautiful and really amazing.”
