New Libertines record: artwork revealed

NME.COM has got an exclusive preview of the Best Of's cover

NME.COM has managed to get hold of the artwork for The Libertines' forthcoming 'Best Of' compilation.

As we exclusively reported this morning (September 21), a collection of The Libertines' best songs is set for release on October 29.

We have now managed to get hold of the artwork for 'Time For Heroes - The Best Of The Libertines' - see right - which features a classic snap of the band taken by NME photographer Roger Sargent at Holborn Studios in 2002.

You can read the full tracklisting of 'Time For Heroes - The Best Of The Libertines' on NME.COM now.

What is this crap? These guys only had two albums and they are mediocre at best, nothing to freak out about. This is just a way to cash in on more of the unwarranted hype surrounding the band. I say put these guys to rest and get on with it.... who cares?
