The UK tour of screenings of The Libertines' documentary There Are No Innocent Bystanders have been postponed.

The film was due to be shown at a series of live screenings this month, but these have now been put back until April as director Roger Sargent, who was due to host Q&As after each screening, has contracted tonsillitis.

In a statement about the postponement, Sargent said: "We are really disappointed to have to postpone the tour but I have tonsillitis and cannot do much talking at the moment! We are delighted to have been able to schedule later dates, so hopefully everyone who has bought tickets will still be able to come along in April / May and the fans will still have the chance to see the film in a live environment."

All tickets for the new screening dates will remain valid and all buyers will be offered a £2 refund on their tickets as a token of apology.

The film features new interviews with the band and documents their 2010 reunion, where they played the Reading And Leeds Festivals as well as warm-up gigs in London. The interviews with co-frontmen Barat and Doherty openly discuss the still-simmering tensions between the pair, who have both indicated that they currently have no plans to resurrect The Libertines.

The film will be available to buy on DVD on April 30 and it will also be shown in cinemas for one night only on March 27. You can watch the trailer for the film by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.

There Are No Innocent Bystanders will now be shown at:

O2 Academy Birmingham 2 (27)
O2 ABC Glasgow (27)
O2 Academy Islington (May 2)
O2 Academy Bristol (4)
O2 Academy Newcastle (5)
