The new issue of NME celebrates the tenth anniversary of The Libertines' masterpiece 'Up The Bracket' - a record that, according to Carl Barat, stirs emotions of "excitement, beatific joy, twinned with deep sorrow and heartbreak."

Pick up the mag and you'll also get 'My Word That Was Fun', an exclusive covers album featuring specially recorded tracks from Spector, Tim Burgess, Mystery Jets, Stealing Sheep and others (stream a taster here). To mark the occasion, and to pay tribute to one of the best-loved albums of NME's lifetime, we're having a special 'Up The Bracket' online listening party, right here, from 1pm (GMT) on Wednesday October 10.

Here's how it works. Make sure you're following NME on Twitter. At 1pm we'll give the signal for everyone to hit 'play' on 'Up The Bracket' - the original, that is, not the covers album. From that point on, share your thoughts either as a comment on this story, or on Twitter via the hashtag #upthebracket. We'll retweet the best.

We want to know any memories the tracks trigger. Tell us exactly why you love the songs. You might even remember where you were the first time you heard the album. Tell us whatever you want - the idea is for us all to celebrate the album together, in real time. We'll be guiding the discussion via the liveblog below. Simply click the widget to read Libs nut Matt Wilkinson's expert guide to the record.

So save the date, tell your friends. We'll meet you back here, and on Twitter, at 1pm on Wednesday. Don't own a copy of 'Up The Bracket'? You can stream it via the Spotify widget below.
