Carl Barât announces Libertines warm-up show The Libertines Tickets

Band will play for just a couple of thousand fans on June 29

Carl Barat of The Libertines has announced a warm-up show for their big Hyde Park gig.

The reunited London band will play the 2,000 capacity Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow on June 29. No ticket details have been released as yet.




The Libertines reunited to play this year's British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park, London, on July 5. They subsequently announced they would also be headlining the Spanish Benicàssim Festival, playing on the Saturday night (July 19) on a line-up that also includes Lily Allen, Example and Manic Street Preachers.

Speaking to NME recently about The Libertines forthcoming show, co-frontman Pete Doherty said he was thinking about finishing off some of the band’s older material for the occasion. "We were talking about doing some new songs," he explained. "Or even better, finishing some old songs that we always knew should have been on 'Up The Bracket' if we could have been arsed. I could hum them and Carl would know about them."
