Kate Jackson returns after recent tonsillitis bout

The Long Blondes kicked off their UK and European tour last night (February 9) at Scala in King’s Cross.

Having seen their single ‘Giddy Stratospheres’ enter the Top 40 this week, the band were clearly in a celebratory mood as they took the stage at club night Popstarz.

The show was led by singer Kate Jackson who threw herself into her hot-panted, nymphette vocalist duties.

“It’s good to be walking in the land of the living again, you’re all fabulous!” she declared, having recently recovered from a serious bout of tonsillitis, and proved she was in fine vocal form with an energetic set.

The Long Blondes played:

’Lust In The Movies’
‘Weekend without Makeup’
‘Once And Never Again’
‘Giddy Stratospheres’
‘Five Ways To End It’
‘Separated By Motorways’

The band continue their tour tonight (February 10) with a sold-out Brighton show, before returning to London’s Astoria on February 20 for a sold-out Shockwaves NME Awards Show.
