The Long Blondes play new material at Oxegen
The Long Blondes
The Sheffield band also get rained on in tent
The Long Blondes played new song ’Guilt’ on the second day of the Oxegen Festival today (July 8).
Along with songs from debut album ’Someone To Drive You Home’, the band also played b-side ’Five Ways To End It’ in the Green Tent.
However, attention was drawn to the leaks coming through the tent with singer Kate Jackson saying: “Trust us to choose the leaky tent. This is the first time I’ve done a gig and had a shower at the same time!”
During ’You Could Have Both’, Jackson messed her up spoken word part and ended up singing: “I don’t want to disappoint the audience,” instead of “I don’t want to disappoint my mother”, but laughed it off.
The band played:
‘Lust In The Movies’
‘Weekend Without Make Up’
‘Guilt’
‘Only Lovers Left Alive’
‘Five Ways To End It’
‘You Could Have Both’
‘Giddy Stratospheres’
‘Once And Never Again’
