The Maccabees are set to debut a new song at Reading And Leeds Festivals this weekend (August 27-29).

Speaking about their Main Stage performances at Reading today and Leeds tomorrow, the band's guitarist Felix White told NME they are currently debating whether to play one or two new tracks.

"There's one called 'Child' and there's another one we haven't got a name for yet, but it's shaping up as a kind of David Bowie '"Heroes"'-type song," he told NME. To read the full interview with White, pick up this week's issue of NME (out nationwide now and also available digitally worldwide).

He added: "Every time we've done Reading and Leeds it's been a benchmark moment."

NME is coming live from both sites at Reading And Leeds Festivals this weekend. Head to NME.COM/festivals for full coverage including news, reviews, videos and picture galleries.

Plus make sure you buy next week's issue of NME to get the definitive review of Reading And Leeds Festivals, either on UK newsstands from September 1 or digitally worldwide.
