The National curated ATP festival returns to original Camber Sands venue
The December event will now take place at the site of Belle and Sebastian's legendary Bowlie Weekender
The National will now host their ATP at Pontins holiday camp – the site of Belle and Sebastian's Bowlie Weekender in 1999, the original ATP - on the originally booked dates of December 7-9. A statement released by ATP says:
Butlins have decided to end their six year relationship with the festival. In reaction to this ATP will move The National's event to our original home - the recently refurbished Pontins holiday camp in Camber Sands - on the same dates this December.
All original ticket bookings remain valid, but refunds will be available until the end of June for ticket holders who now no longer wish to attend the event. The last time ATP took place at Camber Sands was in 2008, for the Pitchfork Media curated edition of the festival.
The National will head up the December event alongside a line-up which includes Kronos Quartet, The Antlers, Owen Pallett, Boris, Tim Hecker, Sharon Van Etten, My Brightest Diamond, Wye Oak, Lower Dens, Megafaun, Suuns, Local Natives, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Michael Rother presents the music of Neu! & Harmonia, Deerhoof, Menomena, Nico Muhly, Stars Of The Lid, Youth Lagoon, Perfume Genius, Bear In Heaven, Richard Reed Parry (Arcade Fire), Mark Mulcahy (Miracle Legion), Kathleen Edwards, Hauschka, This Is The Kit, So Percussion and Hayden.
