Acoustic and full-band sets at every show from Rage Against The Machine star

Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello is gearing up for a solo tour of North America, which will feature both acoustic and full-band electric sets at every show.

The outing will kick-off in San Francisco on November 1 and will support the release of Morello's brand new solo album 'The Fabled City', which is released tomorrow (September 30).

The album was produced by Brendan O'Brien, who has previously worked with the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam, and features guest slots by System Of A Down's Serj Tankian and Shooter Jennings.

Morello says "On The Fabled City Tour, I will be playing both acoustic and electric guitar. I want to start off with the darker acoustic songs and then build to some of the wildest electric guitar playing I have ever unleashed on stage in my career. The idea is half Dylan/half Hendrix."

Meanwhile, Morello will appear at the annual New Yorker Festival in New York City this Saturday (October 4). He will be performing songs and talking with The New Yorker's James Surowiecki in a public interview. The performance and interview takes place at the Acura Stage at Cedar Lake Theatre in Chelsea.

The tour dates announced so far are:

Vancouver, BC Commodore Ballroom (5)
