And the movie's close to their hearts - it's named after their native Orange County...

THE OFFSPRING'S COLOURFUL COMEBACK!

THE OFFSPRING have completed work on a new track for an upcoming film, 'ORANGE COUNTY'.

The as yet untitled song, recorded with long-time producer Brendan O' Brien, will feature in the new film called, an MTV production which is due for release in the US in January.

According to the band's official website www.offspring.com, 'Orange County' stars Tom Hanks' son Colin, Lily Tomlin, Harold Ramis and John Lithgow. A video for the track will be shot this month.

The band, who famously hail from Orange County in California, have no other plans to record at present.
