Former Ordinary Boys frontman Preston reveals solo album plans
He's finished the record, and gone electro
Ex-Ordinary Boys singer Preston has finished his first solo album.
The singer has been blogging about progress on the new album for the past few months, and his most recent post revealed that he was currently "getting the artwork done" for the finished record.
The album, which Preston said was "proper electro", also features a guest appearance from the choir at his former school.
"I went to my old school in Chichester and got the choir to sing on one of the songs on my new record and that was very possibly the most fun day ever," he wrote. "I wanted bratty chanting so they had to unlearn everything that my old music teacher had ever told them."
Preston admitted in April last year that The Ordinary Boys had split up, saying: "I have heartbreachingly happy memories of the whole thing but everyone wanted to go off and do their own thing and perhaps that was beginning to show."
