They keep Maximo Park off the top

The Pigeon Detectives have remained at the top of the NME Chart with ’Take Her Back’ tonight (August 12).

The band have kept Maximo Park off the top spot, though they rise from Number Three to Number Two with ’Girls Who Play Guitars’.

New entries on the chart come from The White Stripes at Number Six with ’You Don’t Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You're Told)’.

The Twang enter at Number Eight with ’Two Lovers’ and The Enemy go in at Ten with ’You’re Not Alone’.

The NME chart is:

1. The Pigeon Detectives - ‘Take Her Back’
2. Maximo Park - ‘Girls Who Play Guitars’
3. The Cribs - ‘Moving Pictures’
4. Hard-Fi - ‘Suburban Knights’
5. Interpol- ‘The Heirich Maneuver’
6. The White Stripes - ‘You Don’t Know What Love IT (You Just Do What You’re Told)
7. Biffy Clyro - ‘Folding Stars’
8. The Twang - ‘Two Lovers’
9. The Rumble Strips - ‘Girls And Boys In Love’
10. The Enemy - ‘You’re Not Along’

Will The Pigeon Detectives be able to hold onto the top spot when Peter, Bjorn and John re-release ’Young Folks’?
