THE POGUES played a rare live show with frontman SHANE MACGOWAN last night (June 8), headlining the London Fleadh.
It was the first time the band had played together since Christmas when they had been reunited withMacGowan for a brief UK tour after several years of estrangement from their talismanic leader.
They played a greatest hits set that included crowd favourites such as ‘Thousands Are Sailing’, ‘Dirty Old Town’, ‘Rainy Night In Soho’ and ‘Fiesta’.
The annual one-day Finsbury Park bash also saw sets from former Clash man Joe Strummer, 80’s favourites The Wonderstuff, crossover hit-makers Cornershop and Scottish duo The Proclaimers.
